To wrap up the school year and our study of the Civil Rights movement, I encourage you to watch the film Remember The Titans. Remember the Titans is a movie about teamwork, overcoming adversity, sacrifice, and personal courage. It follows the plights of a 1971 high school football team, its coaches, and its city as they struggle for perfection as a racially integrated team.
“According to Greek mythology, the Titans were greater even than the gods. They ruled their universe with absolute power! Well, that football field out there tonight, that’s our universe… Let’s rule it like Titans!” – Coach Boone
The film is cutrentky available on Disney+, and Netflix but I have provided a link to stream it as well. There is no more work due, but i have included a discussion guide, view the film and use the questions as prompts to discuss with your family and friends.
